Hannibal Board of Public Works Names New General Manager

June 10, 2021 – Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal Board of Public Works (HBPW) is pleased to announce Darrin Gordon has been selected as the new HBPW General Manger, effective August 2nd, 2021. The HBPW Board of Directors conducted a nationwide search to fill the position of the General Manager vacancy.

Mr. Gordon is currently the General Manager at Lewes Board of Public Works (BPW) that serves the Lewes Delaware community located at the junction of the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. In this role, he manages all facets of the Lewes BPW including electric, water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, as well as all interfaces with local, state and federal officials.

Prior to joining the Lewes BPW, he was the Assistant Utilities Director at Safford Municipal Utilities in Safford, Arizona and has held a variety of other increasingly responsible positions in the utility industry, including the completion of the American Public Power Association Public Power Managers Certificate Program.

As a native of Miami, Arizona, Gordon holds a B.S in Natural Resource Management from Arizona State University and a Master of Administration from Northern Arizona University. The Hannibal Board of Public Works is excited about this new chapter in the organization’s history.
