The Hannibal Board of Public Works hosted their annual Bring Your Kids to Work event on Wednesday, July 12th! The kids had the opportunity to learn about the utility industry their parents work in by participating in activities in the electric, sewer, and water departments as well as our Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment plants. Lab experiments, rubber duck races, an electricity generation bicycle activity, and a sewer car scavenger hunt are just a few of the offerings at today’s fun occasion! The festivities ended with a pizza party in the warehouse, balloon animals by Poki the Clown, shaved ice and ice cream by Smooth as Ice, and cotton candy! At the HBPW, we love what we do! Having the opportunity to show our kids what we do every day for our community is something we look forward to every year!
